The life of Melissa Servetz has always been filled with an abundance of love.

The elementary school teacher from Florida, who is now 45 years old, took in and cared for sixty foster children over the course of six years before locating permanent homes for four sets of siblings.

According to Servetz, the children’s biological mother made «bad judgments» and got involved in «unsafe things,» which led to the adoption of Jade, age 8, Destiny, age 6, Matthew, age 4, and Emerson, age 2, by Servetz.

Servetz claims that it was simple for her to choose to adopt the brothers and that the relationship between them was «meant to be.» She calls this conclusion «destined to be.»

«I frequently worry what would have happened to them if I hadn’t acted to save them,» she says in the statement. Even though it breaks my heart to think about them, I am happy for them since I know they are living a good life today.

In May of 2016, Servetz took the first step toward realizing their dream of starting a family by fostering a young girl named Jade, who was just two years old.

Not long after that, she also became the adoptive mother of Destiny, who was just 16 months old at the time. In December of the year after, Servetz became the adoptive parent to both of the sisters…

She reports that the finalization of the adoption flooded her with a plethora of feelings all at once. Every person in the room could be heard sniffling and choking back tears. My lawyer was crying while she represented me in court. The judge was moved to tears during the proceeding in court.

In June of 2018, she obtained the information that the woman who was the biological mother of the sisters had given birth to a boy. Matthew was just a few days old when Servetz took him in as a foster child.

According to Servetz, Matthew was «born cheerful» in April of 2019, when she became his adoptive mother. «That jerk of a child will destroy your heart. He is well-liked amongst the ladies.

And in the month of March in the year 2020, Emerson joined this world at the ripe old age of a few days old. The adoption process was finalized in the month of July 2021.

Servetz, who experienced a stillbirth during her first marriage, is convinced that becoming a mother has changed her for the better…

Servetz, who does not have a spouse at this time, explains, «You don’t understand how much you can love another human, times four — it’s unconditional, really.» Servetz is currently single.

«No matter what the day has in store… No matter what they decide to do, they will never lose my affection. As is customary for me, I will be present to provide the cause my unqualified support.

«It isn’t easy, but I will never lose them to me. Every morning brings with it a new beginning, she adds, and she will continue. «We are going to have a good beginning to this brand new day.

That was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for me, and I wouldn’t trade it for anything in the world. I do not have any feelings of regret. If I had to do it again, I would without a doubt go through with it.

It’s exactly the kind of important life lesson that Servetz wants to teach the kids, and Jade has indicated interest in becoming a foster parent.

She asserts that all of the residents there have «large hearts.» People who have positive intentions are the driving force behind making the world a better place.

She says that the kids are «learning how to be amazing human beings» now that they’re in her class. Incredibly, «I couldn’t be happier with how things turned out.»

Servetz made the decision to adopt because she wished to preserve the biological family unit if possible. Even if the children’s biological mother decides to bear another child, Servetz affirms that there will always be «a space for that baby» in the family that she and her husband share.

She says, «I just can’t find it in my heart to let them go somewhere else.» «I just can’t find it in my heart to let them leave.» «There is no doubt in my mind that if I find out there is another baby that needs a home, I will go out of my way to adopt that child,» the adoptive mother said.

My sister has always had the desire to become a parent, so if the responsibility ends up being too much for me to handle, she would be more than delighted to take the baby in. The infant can remain with a warm and caring household.»
