Mom Sends Kids On Bus to Their Uncle, 'They Never Came!' He Says Hours Later
Linda had a difficult time at work the next day as she constantly worried about her children's safety. She had arranged for her neighbor, Dan, to take them to Nick's house, but her mind was still in a state of unease.
When the clock finally struck 5 p.m., Linda rushed home to check on her children. They weren't home yet, and her heart skipped a beat.
She tried to calm herself down and decided to call Dan to check up on them. But before she could, she saw Dan's car pulling up in her driveway.
"Hi, Linda," Dan said, stepping out of his car.
"Dan, where are the kids?" Linda asked, her voice trembling.
"I'm sorry, Linda. I had a flat tire on the way to Nick's house. I called for help, but it took longer than expected," Dan explained.
Linda felt a wave of panic and anger wash over her. She was furious with Dan for putting her children in danger. But she tried to keep her cool as she asked, "Are the kids okay?"
"Yes, they're fine. They're inside," Dan said, pointing towards Linda's house.
Linda quickly went inside to check on her children. They were both sitting in the living room, playing with their toys.
"Are you okay?" Linda asked, her eyes filled with tears.
"Yes, Mom. Dan was really nice to us. He bought us ice cream and made us laugh," Diana said, smiling.
Linda felt a sense of relief wash over her as she hugged her children tightly. She realized that all her efforts in raising her children to be loving and kind had paid off.
Later that night, Linda received a call from her brother Nick. He was in tears as he thanked her for sending the children over.
"They're such wonderful kids, Linda. I don't know how I could have made it without them. They've given me so much joy and happiness," Nick said, his voice cracking.
Linda felt a sense of pride in her heart as she listened to her brother's words. She knew that her children were not only safe and happy but also brought joy to their uncle's life.
As she lay in bed that night, Linda realized that she didn't have to worry about her children's future. She had done her best to raise them with strong values, and they had turned out to be wonderful human beings. And for that, she was grateful.
Linda had never felt so powerless. She couldn't focus on work, couldn't eat or sleep, and her mind kept going to the worst possible scenarios. Had they been kidnapped? Had they gotten lost? What if they were hurt or sick?
The next morning, Linda decided to take matters into her own hands. She took time off work and went to her brother's place. As she arrived, she saw that Nick's house was locked, and nobody seemed to be around. She knocked on the door several times, but no one answered.
Linda decided to investigate further. She went to the neighbors and asked if they had seen the children or knew anything about Nick's whereabouts. One of the neighbors said that they had seen Nick leave with the children the previous day but hadn't seen them return.
Linda's heart was pounding as she drove around the neighborhood, hoping to find any trace of her children. After an hour of searching, she saw a group of children playing in a nearby park. Her heart leaped with joy as she recognized her own children among them.
Linda got out of the car and ran towards them. "Diana! Dillan!" she cried, hugging them tightly.
"Mommy! We missed you!" Diana said, tears streaming down her face.
"We missed you too, mommy!" Dillan added, his eyes red and puffy.
Linda couldn't believe they had made it all the way to the park on their own. She asked them how they had managed to find their way, and they explained that they had followed the signs and asked for directions whenever they needed help.
Linda's heart swelled with pride and gratitude towards her children. She couldn't imagine what would have happened if they hadn't been so resourceful and independent.
After hugging and kissing her children, Linda decided to call her brother to find out what had happened. He explained that he had been called away on an emergency and had left the children with a friend who lived nearby. However, the friend had forgotten about them and hadn't realized they were missing until Linda called.
Linda was relieved to hear that her children were safe and sound. She decided to take them home and spend the rest of the day with them, just enjoying their company and being grateful for their safety.
As for Dan, Linda decided to let him go. She knew that he had made a terrible mistake, but she couldn't trust him with her children's safety anymore. She also filed a complaint with the local authorities and the bus service to ensure that this wouldn't happen to any other child.
Linda learned a valuable lesson through this experience. She realized that her children were more capable and resilient than she had given them credit for. She also realized that she needed to be more vigilant and careful when it came to their safety.
From that day on, Linda made a conscious effort to spend more quality time with her children and to teach them essential life skills that would help them become more independent and self-reliant. She also made sure that they always had a reliable adult accompanying them whenever they traveled or went out to play.
Despite the initial scare, Linda's relationship with her children had grown stronger through this experience. They had all learned important lessons about trust, responsibility, and resilience, and they had come out of it as a stronger and more bonded family.
Linda was in a state of complete panic. Her two children, Diana and Dillan, were missing. She wept uncontrollably, but every tear felt like a wasted second that could be spent trying to find her children.
Feeling overwhelmed by fear and uncertainty, Linda knew she needed to take action. She decided to go to the bus station to talk to the driver on duty when her children were traveling. It was a long shot, but Linda was desperate for any clue that could help her locate her children.
After a while of asking around, she finally found the bus driver. She showed him a picture of her children and asked if he had seen them and if they were dropped off at their destination, Nick's neighborhood.
"Oh, yes. I remember them. Sweet children. I couldn't understand why they were alone. I thought they were with the young man, but he got off a couple stops before them. However, they didn't get off at the destination you mentioned. Nope... They got off a couple stops later," the bus driver explained.
He provided Linda with the location where the children had gotten off the bus. Linda thanked him and immediately alerted the police with the new information.
To Linda's amazement, the police explained that they had received a call from someone who had found two missing children. They gave Linda an address and instructed her to meet them there.
Linda arrived at the unfamiliar house surrounded by police cars. As she looked past the various cop cars with their blue flashing lights, she finally saw her two children sitting on the porch. Linda jumped out of the car, overjoyed as she ran to her children.
"You should be proud of these two. And of yourself for raising them. They're truly one of a kind."
"Oh, my babies!" Linda said, hugging them tightly. "How did you end up here?" Linda asked, astonished. Just then, an elderly woman with a friendly smile walked out with two juices for the children.
"Mrs. Dakota helped us," Diana said, pointing to the elderly woman, Mrs. Dakota.
"Oh, thank you, ma'am!! Thank you so much!" Linda said, hugging Mrs. Dakota tightly.
"No, thank you for raising such wonderful children," Mrs. Dakota replied.
Mrs. Dakota and the kids finally explained to Linda what happened. The children had gotten off at the wrong stop. By the time they realized this, the bus had gone, and it started to rain heavily.
Diana began to cry while Dillan tried to figure out how to get to their uncle from where they were. Dillan convinced Diana he knew the way, but unfortunately, they got lost even more. By this time, the rain was getting worse, so the children went to seek cover under the porch of an old abandoned house.
As they sat there, shivering from the cold and drenched from the rain, an elderly woman named Mrs. Dakota noticed the children and invited them into her home. She gave them dry clothes, warm food, and a place to stay until the rain stopped.
Mrs. Dakota contacted the police and reported the missing children, but by then, the police already had Linda's report. When Linda arrived at Mrs. Dakota's house, she was grateful beyond words to have found her children safe and sound.
The whole family sat down together, sharing stories and hugs, grateful for the happy ending to what could have been a tragedy. Linda was relieved to have her children back in her arms, and she knew that she had the support of her community in keeping her children safe.
Linda was in a state of distress, crying uncontrollably, realizing that every moment spent in tears was another moment lost in the search for her missing children. She decided to visit the bus station to speak with the bus driver and inquire about her children's whereabouts.
After extensive questioning, she eventually located the bus driver and showed him a photo of her children while requesting information on whether they had been dropped off at their intended destination. The bus driver confirmed that he had seen the children, but they had not been dropped off at the desired stop. He disclosed the location where the children disembarked, and Linda contacted the police with the information.
To her surprise, the authorities informed her that they had received a call about missing children and gave her an address to go to. Linda arrived at the unfamiliar house surrounded by police cars, where she discovered her two children sitting on the porch. Linda was overjoyed and embraced her children, astonished by how they ended up at this house.
The children explained that they had gotten off the bus at the wrong stop, and it started raining heavily, forcing them to take refuge under the porch of an old abandoned house. As they waited for the rain to subside, they noticed an elderly woman, Mrs. Dakota, struggling to carry her luggage, with the wheels of her suitcase broken.
Diana suggested they help her, but Dillan refused. However, Diana reminded him that helping others was an opportunity to show love, and they agreed to assist Mrs. Dakota. She was extremely grateful and explained that her son, who was supposed to pick her up, had been called to the hospital where he worked.
Mrs. Dakota took the children to her house, where she gave them warm clothes and tea, and called the police to report the incident. Linda was astonished at how well her children had handled themselves, and Mrs. Dakota commended her for raising such amazing children.
After Linda informed Dan's parents of the situation, they scolded him and sent him to work as a volunteer in foster care. Linda and Mrs. Dakota stayed in touch, and Mrs. Dakota even contacted her son to assist with Nick's treatment. He offered to treat Nick for free, and with his help, Nick recovered and was able to spend more time with his sister and her children.
Linda realized that her children's actions had demonstrated her successful motherhood, and she felt proud of herself and her children.
